Privacy Policy

We know that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy very seriously. By visiting Oodi, you are accepting the practices outlined in this policy. We've tried to cut through the legal jargon and provide cliff notes for you, but our nutshell explanations are not legally binding.

INTRODUCTION

OODI (collectively “OODI, we, our, us”) wants you to be clear how we are using information and the ways in which you can protect your privacy.

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains:

  • What information we collect and why we collect it.
  • How we use and share that information.
  • The choices we offer, including how to access and update information.

This Policy discloses the current privacy practices for OODI. Your access to and use of our website (“Site”) are subject to this Policy. By accessing and using this Site, you are acknowledging and agreeing to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree to our Policy, please do not use our Site.

We have tried to keep this Policy as simple as possible, but if you are not familiar with terms like cookies, IP addresses, pixel tags and browsers, then read about these key terms first. Your privacy matters to OODI so please do take the time to get to know our practices. If you have any questions, consult this Policy.

IN A NUTSHELL,

We are going to outline for you what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how you can control it on Oodi.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information in order to provide better Services to all of our Users under our Terms of Service (“TOS”) which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. We own the information we collect and we collect it in two ways:

  • Information you give us. When you contact us to register and/or set up an account, we’ll ask for personal information, like your name, email address, phone number, mobile telephone number, physical address, and (depending on the service used) sometimes financial information such as bank account numbers, and certain other information.
  • Information we get from your use of our Services. We may collect information about the Services that you use and how you use them, like when you directly contact us via phone or email or view and interact with our Site and content or our Affiliates, Sellers or Buyers and other Users. This information includes: Transactional information based on your activities on the Site (such as bidding, buying, selling, item and content you generate or that relates to your account), billing and other information you provide to purchase an item;
  • Personal information you provide to us through correspondence, chats, dispute resolution, or shared by you from other social applications, services or websites;
  • Additional personal information we ask you to submit to authenticate yourself if we believe you are violating Site policies (for example, we may ask you to send us an ID to answer additional questions online to help verify your identity);
  • Device information. We may collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number). OODI may associate your device identifiers or phone number with your OODI Account.
  • Log information. When you use our services or view content provided by OODI, we may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs. This may include:
    • Details of how you used our Service, such as your search queries.
    • Telephone log information like your phone number, calling-party number, forwarding numbers, time and date of calls, duration of calls, SMS routing information and types of calls.
  • Internet protocol address.
  • Device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL.
  • Cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your OODI Account.
  • Location information. When you use a location-enabled OODI service, we may collect and process information about your actual location, like GPS signals sent by a mobile device.
  • Unique order numbers. Our Services include a unique registration number. This number and information about your installation (for example, the operating system type and application version number) may be sent to OODI when you register and or use our Service.
  • Local storage - We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.
  • Cookies and anonymous identifiers - We may use various technologies to collect and store information when you visit us, and this may include sending one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device.
IN A NUTSHELL,

We collect information to help you use the site properly. This may include personal info and site usage among other things.

HOW WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION

Oodi uses secure hosting providers to store information, therefore your information may be transferred to and stored on servers in various locations both in and outside of the United States. OODI maintains control of your information. We protect your information using technical and administrative security measures to reduce the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure and alteration. Some of the safeguards we use are firewalls and data encryption, physical access controls to our data centers, and information access authorization controls.

IN A NUTSHELL,

We take a lot of steps to make sure your data is safe.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We use the information we collect from you to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us and to provide, maintain, protect and improve our Services, to develop new ones, and to protect OODI, our Affiliates, our partners, and our Users. We may also use this information to offer you tailored content.

We will use the name and related information you provide when you initially sign on to our Site and register to create an OODI profile. When you contact OODI, we may keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might be facing. We may use your email address to inform you about our services, such as letting you know about upcoming news, changes or improvements. We may send you a welcome email to verify your account and other transactional emails for operational purposes, such as billing, account management, or system maintenance. You may only stop those emails by terminating your account. We may also send you promotions, product announcements, surveys, newsletters, developer updates, product evaluations, and event information or other marketing or commercial e-mails. You can opt out of receiving these email communications from OODI at any time by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe link within each email, updating your e-mail preferences on your OODI account or emailing us to have your contact information removed from our email list or registration database.

SMS communications: We may send you SMS messages to your secure phone number for operational purposes, such as notifying you about the status of your project. You can opt out of receiving these SMS messages from OODI at any time by updating your notifications preferences on your OODI account or by replying 'STOP' to any message we send.

Marketing: You agree that we may use your personal information to tell you about our services and tools, deliver targeted marketing and promotional offers based on your communication preferences, and customize measure and improve our advertising. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link contained in the email.

We may use information collected from cookies and other technologies, like pixel tags, to improve your User experience and the overall quality of our Services. We will not combine cookie information with personally identifiable information unless we have your opt-in consent.

We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this Privacy Policy. We do not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non- affiliated companies for marketing purposes (including direct marketing purposes) without your permission. We may use and share non-personal information for our marketing purposes, including, without limitation, marketing on other websites. For example, we may use the information to control the number of times you have seen an ad, deliver ads tailored to your interests, and measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns. You can prevent us from tailoring our ads to you on other websites by deleting your cookies (see below).

OODI processes personal information on our servers located in the U.S.

IN A NUTSHELL,

We collect information to make Oodi useful for you and to provide a personalized experience.

TRANSPARENCY AND CHOICE

People have different privacy concerns. Our goal is to be clear about what information we collect, so that you can make meaningful choices about how it is used. For example, you can:

  • Review and control certain types of information tied to your OODI profile.
  • View, edit or delete your profile information with OODI on your Settings page. Express any concern you may have about our use of your data or opt out of the sharing of your information by contacting us via email at support@oodi.com.

You may also set your browser to block all cookies, including cookies associated with our Services, or to indicate when a cookie is being set by us. However, it is important to remember that our Services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled.

IN A NUTSHELL,

You have the power to choose your privacy settings!

ACCESSING AND UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Whenever you use our Services, we aim to provide you with access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it – unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.

We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing an existing practice), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup systems).

Where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. We aim to maintain our servers in a manner that protects information from accidental or malicious destruction. Because of this, after you delete information from our servers, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove information from our backup systems.

IN A NUTSHELL,

You can change any personal information you provide us on your settings page.

INFORMATION WE SHARE

We do not share personal information with companies, organizations and individuals outside of OODI or our Affiliates, Buyers or Sellers, unless one of the following circumstances applies:

  • With your consent: We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of OODI when we have your consent to do so. We require opt-in consent from you for the sharing of any personal information.
  • For external processing: We may provide personal information to our Affiliates or other trusted service providers or Sellers or Buyers or persons who process it for us such as escrow agents or payment processors, based on our instructions and in compliance with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures. We would, however, obtain your consent, prior to the sharing of any information.
  • For legal reasons: We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of OODI if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
    • Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
    • Enforce our Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
    • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
    • Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of OODI, our Users or the public as required or permitted by law.

We own and may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our Affiliates, partners, Users, and advertisers. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our Services.

If OODI is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and give affected Users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

IN A NUTSHELL,

We don’t share your info with anyone without your consent. We only share necessary information required for you to use Oodi properly.

OODI uses cookies called "persistent" cookies to enable the Site to remember you on subsequent visits, speeding up or enhancing your experience of services or functions offered. Cookies also enable our systems to gather information about your navigational patterns through the Site. You have the option to disable cookies at any time through your browsers. We may also store your website activity in cookies which may be used by third party vendors, including Google, to serve ads based on your behavior on our Site.

The third party vendors [(e.g. Google Analytics)] may receive and record non-personal information from cookies, server logs, and similar technology from your browser or mobile device, including your IP address. You may opt out of Google's use of cookies by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page.

For example, Facebook may share with us your friend list, birthday, information about the interests of you or your friends or other personal information, in order to help us establish your account, tailor services to you and find other current or potential site users that you know. We may add this information to the information we have already collected from you via other aspects of the Site. You are also subject to the social networking site's terms of use and privacy policy. We use the OAuth (open authorization) protocol to enable us to access this information without collecting your password when you agree to allow another application to access your account information.

IN A NUTSHELL,

Cookies allow the site to remember you on future visits so you can quickly login and access what you need. But you have the right to disable cookies at any time.

  • We regularly review our information collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against unauthorized access to systems.
  • We restrict access to personal information to OODI employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated by OODI if they fail to meet these obligations.

OODI does not guarantee or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us. You send us information at your own risk. OODI shall not be responsible for any harm that may result as a result of a breach of confidentiality in respect to any use of this Site or any information transmitted to this Site.

IN A NUTSHELL,

Oodi will never ask you for your personal info, so if you receive an email like that - forward it to support@oodi.com.
